MY AI PROCESS
SYNTHMORPHIX is a series of digital illustrations I create using a method I call the P2P (Prompt-to-Paint) Process. Through this approach, I work with AI as a creative partner, guiding and reshaping its outputs through a slow, hands-on, and highly intentional curatorial practice.
The process involves iterative collaboration with AI systems such as DALL·E and Midjourney. While these tools can generate stunning results from a single prompt, my method is more involved. After an initial prompt, I refine the outputs through hundreds of additional prompts and detailed edits. This allows me to correct common distortions, enhance resolution, and achieve precise visual and conceptual goals that generic outputs rarely satisfy on their own.
The creation process often mirrors traditional painting. When working on a portrait, for instance, I might begin with a digital sketch or photograph to map out facial features, then build the rest—body, background, atmosphere—layer by layer using both generative AI and traditional tools in Photoshop. A single image can take weeks to complete.
This process of curation and layering forms the foundation of SYNTHMORPHIX—a body of conceptual artworks constructed from AI-generated fragments, reshaped into cohesive visual compositions through human vision and adaptive craftsmanship.
More than a method, SYNTHMORPHIX explores the merging of human creativity with machine intelligence. This metamorphic fusion is transforming how we perceive, feel, and express ourselves—both creatively and evolutionarily. My visual language, SYNTHMORPHIK REALISM, blends photorealism and surrealism, improvisation and precision, classical form and posthuman aesthetics to reflect this shift. The result is a vision of fluid, hybrid realities shaped by both organic intuition and digital computation.
In this evolving context, SYNTHMORPHIX becomes more than personal expression—it becomes a way to explore, question, and navigate the future we are co-creating with intelligent machines.
"What I love about Dinorah's work is that she collects imagery—a whole batch of material to sort through—and then uses digital processes in Photoshop to construct an image."

"I think photography is the easiest medium in which to be competent, but the hardest medium in which to have a personal vision … what Dinorah's doing is very interesting as photographs...They're excellent photographs ... They're very much a painter's attitude, a painter's vision. It almost looks to me like constructing actors on a stage."
