Dinorah Delfin
BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Venezuela and based between Florida and New York, Dinorah Delfin is a multidisciplinary conceptual artist and futurist whose work explore the intersection of identity, human evolution, and emerging technologies. Working across traditional media, large‑scale digital com[ositions, and AI‑integrated art, she uses creative practice as a means to reframe human agency amid rapid biodigital transformation.
Delfin is the originator of Synthmorphik Realism, a visual language that weaves classical aesthetics, surreal composition, and algorithmic processes into symbolic narratives about consciousness, self‑transcendence, and technological convergence. Her ongoing series, SYNTHMORPHIX, envisions speculative and non‑speculative futures of human‑machine co‑evolution, blending organic and artificial forms into emotionally resonant, hyperreal works.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship Management, cum laude, from Baruch College. Delfin’s debut solo exhibition in 2009—curated by Elga Wimmer and dedicated to her mentor Chuck Close—introduced her Pixelated Hybrid Paintings, a technique she began developing in 2007 to explore futures where the digital infuses with biology. The show featured HOLY, a series of introspective self‑portraits later described by art critic Jerry Saltz as “unique” for their psychological depth and hybrid visual language.
Delfin is the founder and Editor‑in‑Chief of Immortalists Magazine, a platform at the nexus of science, technology, and human potential, and founder of Synthmorphik House, producing experimental artworks, media, and cultural projects grounded in the Synthmorphik framework—a conceptual paradigm and aesthetic language for understanding biosynthetic evolution and morphological freedom. The term Synthmorphik, coined by Delfin, is scheduled for inclusion in the Prospective Lexicon: Encyclopedia of the Future (2026).
Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in important private collections.
A dedicated voice on ethical futurism and transformative art, Delfin regularly presents at global forums, including the NYU Posthuman Summit (2019), the International Conference of Technoscientific Awareness in Rwanda (2019), and the Unicorn Summit in Portugal (2025). She is affiliated with institutions such as the Lifeboat Foundation, the NeuroRights Foundation, the Foresight Institute, and the Global Posthuman Network.
